Macro photography opens up an entire new world.

I have often found inspiration to be lacking as I think of going on my next photo jaunt. I read the same in Reddit post of photographers experiencing the equivalent of writer’s block. My favorite shooting is of architecture and landscapes. Unless I am visiting a new location, it can be difficult to be inspired by the same scenery I see every day.
One tool I use to get out of a rut is to throw on a macro lens and start looking closer at what is out there, like these buds on a tree in the photo above. Looking at the trees, all I see is, well, trees. But getting up close opens up an entire new world.
Macro lenses themselves can be expensive, but it is not necessary to have one. Extension rings work quite well and work with almost any lens. The longer the extension ring, the closer the focus can be, and the closer you get to the smaller world we tend to not see. Extension rings usually come in sets that can be used in various combinations.
So sometimes, look for the unseen as a way to revitalize the creativity and inspiration that every photographer needs sooner or later.
