Movement in two directions.

I took this shot from the back of a taxi and used a fairly slow shutter speed of 1/30 for the 85mm lens. The movement of the car blurred just about everything in the direction the car was going, but I panned with the motorcycle going the opposite direction, and got a relatively sharp image of the bike and riders.

Another curious artifact is the blur in front of the bike’s wheels that was likely another car or bike passing by. A lucky shot in all regards and it’s these that make shooting with old-school cameras and film a great deal of fun.

I like this vibe a lot and need to remember this technique to apply more often.
